My Future...

Picture
On October 6th 2012, I will be marrying my fiance Matthew Hurtgam. This will place me in the role of a wife, and eventually the role of a mother. I have always wanted both of these roles and I am looking forward to living them. Our wedding will be at St. Joseph's church in Albion, NY. This is the church I have gone to since I was born and it is very important to me. Our reception will be held at Sean Patrick's in Getzville, NY. We wanted to keep the wedding small, but we realized we have many close friends and loved ones. There will be around 230 guests attending. We are hoping to make 2 donations, one to COPD foundation in honor of my grandma, and one to Roswell in honor of his grandpa instead of giving favors.

My Future Career...

Picture
In the spring of 2012 I will graduate from Erie Community College's Occupational Therapy Assistant program. This is very important to me because occupational therapy helps give individuals with disabilities the greatest level of independence that they can achieve. I hope with this career I can help individuals better their lives. I have always felt a connection with individuals with disabilities. I had an aunt who had down's syndrome; she passed away a year before I was born. My grandparents have always said there was a part of her in me. I always wished I could have met her after hearing about her love for life and her humor. With my future career as an occupational therapy assistant I hope to feel that I am fufilling my purpose in this world.
