My Past
I was born on October 17th 1987.During my mom's pregnancy, her placenta ruptured when she was 7 months along. She was taken by ambulance (driven by my grandpa) and then mercy flighted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. I only weighed 1 pound at the time, so my mom was given steroids four times a day before she gave birth. I was born about a week later at 7:14 pm, on October 17th, at 4 pounds 6 oz. Since I was 6 weeks premature, I spent a few days in an incubator and was invited to the Miracle Children's telethon and the hospital the following year. My parents were very young when I was born and although my parents did not stay together, they get along very well to this day. I am so lucky to have a great relationship with both of them. I had a great childhood. My father worked as a police officer and my mom is a hair stylist. When I was 7, my mom had my brother Dimitri. I was very excited to be a big sister. As a child, most of my time was spent at dance class and spending time with my brother, my parents and grandparents.
My Childhood
When I was 13 my dad married Chantelle, my step mom. One year later my brother Nicholas was born. I was so excited to have another brother come into my life. Then, when I was a senior in high school, I was blessed to have another brother born from my dad and step mom, Christopher. I graduated from Brockport High School in 2005. Dance continued to be a huge part of my life throughout my school years, and even a few years after. After I graduated I attended Shear Ego International School of Cosmetology. I wanted to be a hair stylist like my mom. I began styling hair full time in 2006 and still do it part time while attending school.
My heritage includes a mixture of nationalities. My father’s father is Sicilian. His family history is the one I am most familiar with. His parents Pasquale and Consetta Sacco both came to America separately when they were children. My father’s mother is English, I do not know a lot about her family. My mother's parents are German, English and Native American.
